The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon
Loch Tay Kenmore
2010 is the 10th anniversary of The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon! Join us for one of Scotland’s toughest one-day events, it is an exhilarating test of stamina, strength and fitness, combining swimming, walking/running, kayaking and cycling. It’s not an event for the faint-hearted but promises to take you through some of the most magnificent and scenic areas of the Scottish highlands. Starting and finishing at Kindrochit, the challenge will take you in, over and around Loch Tay including the summits of the Ben Lawers Range and Ptarmigan Ridge. You can enter with friends or colleagues as a team of two (both members participate in each leg) or as a relay team (max 8 members, min 2 team members per leg). It’s a tough challenge but your efforts will be rewarded through fantastic camaraderie and finished off with a well deserved massage, a hearty feast on the shores of Loch Tay, a ceilidh and a fireworks extravaganza. In 2010 we will be continuing with our support for Mercy Corps, an international development charity. Our fundraising efforts will go towards improving food production in poverty stricken Guatemala. The project is the vital next stage in helping families to maximise the potential of their land, grow sustainable and profitable crops, and generate livelihoods for themselves and future generations. 9,000 people will directly benefit from this project and the knock-on effect will be to secure a stream of diverse, nutritional food and to increase food security of the entire populations of the 25 communities in which this project works.
