Blair Castle Trekking Centre
Take a guided tour through the stunning hills and heather
moors of Atholl. Following old drover tracks, perhaps catching a
glimpse of roe deer, grouse and red squirrels as buzzards fly
overhead. The ride will be guided by Hamish, an estate ghillie,
who will be able to answer questions on stalking and heather
management. The two hour ride is suitable for beginners and

Go Wild at the Safari Lodge
Perthshire Junior Gold Panning Championships

After easy instructions from our resident expert, you’ll soon be
panning like a ‘pro’! Scooping and swirling in our purpose built
panning flume, you’ll soon be hunting for semi precious gems,
fools’ gold as well as real gold. Everything you find, you will
take home with you and everyone receives a special certificate
whilst the winner receives a prize. Competitors will be split
into two age groups: 8 and under and 9 – 14. Turn up on the day

The Athol Clan Highlanders - Dress up and step back in
time as our highlanders show you how clansmen fought in days of
old. 11am and 1pm. Falconry Display - Come along
and watch our experienced Falconer work owls, hawks and the
magnificent Golden Eagle, gliding, swooping and soaring all with
the spectacular backdrop of Highland Perthshire. There is a
chance to hold and feed the birds too! 2pm. Entry charge £3 per

Equestrian sport on an international scale! Horse Trials at
three different levels take place across the four days, with
elegant dressage on Thursday and Friday, exciting cross country
on Saturday and exacting show jumping on Sunday. Plenty of other
action too – the Country Fair happens on Saturday and Sunday,
