The Rannoch
Highland Gathering first held in 1881
The Friendly Gathering - This gathering
is very much about a fun day for the locals, with a lot of
friendliness, which you do not find at the larger Highland Games
and Gatherings.

The
Rannoch Barbeque -
The larger games will often have
outside caterers at the event, here at Rannoch they have superb
local venison, park burgers and local Chantarel mushrooms.

You will find it hard to beat
this locally prepared and cooked food. Many people turning up
early to get the best choice before the
crowds arrived. Well done to the caterers.

The catering marquee has
an absolutely fabulous range of locally made cakes, buns,
biscuits, tea and coffee. All freshly baked by the ladies behind
the serving counter.

This is another
highlight of the Rannoch Highland Games or gathering.
Well done ladies!

Local Rannoch organisations
had a variety of stalls from books to
locally grown fruit and vegetables and jams.

Entertainment
in the form of the clown with his invisible dog, intrigued the
youngster. I believe the clown was also responsible for the kids
races and fun events. These proved to be very popular with low
key organisation and fuss. All good fun.

The Vale of Atholl Pipe Band
played in the rain and was much
appreciated by all.

The
Kids Races were well supported and provided good fun for the
kids and entertainment to the parents and families

Look carefully at this photo,
below, "You will win, even if I have to carry you there!"

Sack Races

Races on large balloons
- not sure what these were called. All good fun!
