Highland Perthshire
As there are a considerable number of attractions
in Highland Perthshire, we have separated them in to
different areas as listed below:
Aberfeldy, Loch
Tay and Glen Lyon has much to offer from a
reconstructed crannog, to stone circles, ancient villages, the
oldest piece of living vegetation in Europe, gardens, to the
spectacular Glen Lyon.
Dunkeld and Birnam

mighty river Tay, Dunkeld with it's ancient Cathedral and
historic past, is a beutifully unspoilt town steeped in history.
Killiecarankie and Blair Atholl
The first shots of the Jacobite rebellions were fired in the
gorge of Killiecrankie. Blair Atholl is dominated by Blair

home of the Atholl Highlanders the only legal private army in
Europe today.
Loch Tummel and
Loch Rannoch Here you will taste the real Highland
wilderness as you travel first past the much photographed 'Queen's View' to Tummel and onto Rannoch with its Clan Trail
around Loch Rannoch, or its famous Tea Room on the West Highland
Railway line in the middle of the bleak Rannoch Moor.
